Sefton Magistrates Court yesterday, April 10th, held the first hearing of the charges of dealing in counterfeit goods against four Southport people Adam Yaffe, Jordan Borrowman, Sandra Carney and Megan Carney-Barrowman and a further charge of money laundering.

The court service was approached for details of the outcome of yesterday's hearing to be told that the next hearing will be at Liverpool Crown Court on May 8th.

This week, two men and two women have been charged with multiple fraud offences as part of NWROCU investigation into online dealers of counterfeit goods.

Adam Yaffe, 51, Jordan Borrowman, 32, Sandra Carney, 62 and Megan Carney-Barrowman, 33 all from Southport were all charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation, becoming concerned in an arrangement which they knew or suspected facilitated the acquisition, retention, use or control of criminal property by or on behalf of another person, and possession or control of an article for use in fraud.

Megan Carney-Barrowman was also charged with money laundering offences.

They appeared at Sefton Magistrates Court on 10th April 2024.
